Five girls rescued in Uganda

Five girls ages 16 and 17 have been rescued in Uganda and joined our community care program!

The children faced poverty and difficult family circumstances and were selling themselves in order to survive. Each made the brave choice to leave their life of exploitation and joined our community care program.

The survivors will work with their caseworker on their personalized freedom plans. In our program they will receive trauma-informed counseling and access to classes that will help them grow and gain skills for safe employment.

11 Kids Rescued from Sexual Exploitation in Zimbabwe

Eleven girls are now free from selling their bodies to survive.

The girls, all between 13 and 17 years old, faced severe financial distress. Two of the kids had lost a parent and another three were orphans, forcing them to shoulder the strain of caring for themselves and their siblings.

Now, things are different. Each child has enrolled in a Freedom Plan, which will not only enable her to navigate the trauma she’s endured but also equip her to live financially stable. One brave survivor from this project, who’s a young mother herself, said, “Destiny Rescue really gave me hope.”

15 Girls Choose Freedom from Sex Trafficking

Fifteen children have been rescued from sex trafficking in Southeast Asia.

The girls, who were all under 16 years old, had been lured from their homes with the promise of good jobs in the city. Instead, business owners forced them into exploitative work in bars and massage parlors where they were expected to endure sexual assault by the customers.

Over the course of three months, our undercover agents found each child and built trust before offering freedom. All 15 children have been successfully reunited with their families.

The survivors, including eight children, had been trapped in a call scam center in Asia.

An international crime organization lured their victims with the false promise of a good job before locking them in a guarded compound and forcing them to work inhumane hours in a scam center.

The victims were confined, threatened and physically assaulted as they scammed victims for all they’re worth over time—a practice generally known as “pig butchering.” Some of the women were sexually abused.

Now, that nightmare is over. After helping free them, we aided local authorities in the repatriation process, ensuring the survivors returned home safely.

The children, all between 7 and 17 years old, have enrolled in Freedom Plans. Together with our incredible team of agents and caseworkers in Kenya, they’ll work through the trauma they’ve suffered and work to develop an economic solution for each family, equipping them to live free.

The children ranged in age from 9 to 17. Our compassionate team of local caseworkers, led by a survivor herself, are helping the children deal with the trauma they’ve endured before equipping them to live free.
