You can rescue a child and help equip her freedom
The average cost to rescue a child and launch her path to freedom is $1,500.
Your funds will empower finding her, rescuing her and starting her path to freedom.
1. FIND
Our agents work tirelessly using a variety of tactics to find exploited children and then remove them from harm, at times in collaboration with law enforcement, using tactics that could include:
- Undercover or online investigations
- Canvassing and building trust within high-risk communities
- Conducting interviews at trafficking hotspots
- Acting upon information brought to us by individuals or agencies
2. RESCUE
Every rescue situation is unique, but our most common
operation types include:
Raids and Law Enforcement Collaboration
Rescue teams participate in case-building and rescue operations in collaboration with law enforcement.
Covert Operations and Rapport Building
Covert agents work undercover, or field agents work in high-risk communities to build trust, then rescue children trapped in exploitation.
Border and Transit Monitoring
Rescue agents monitor routes out of the country, stop and interview travelers and rescue individuals from active trafficking situations.
3. NEXT STEPS
Post-rescue, a survivor’s next steps are determined based on his or her unique situation, including the vulnerabilities that led to exploitation and local legal procedure.
Enroll
Enrollment in an individualized Destiny Rescue Freedom Plan™ implemented in one of our residential homes or through our Community Care program, which enables the child to live at home while participating in services. Freedom Plans include health checks, post-rescue training to help survivors begin moving past trauma and economic empowerment solutions.
Reunify
Reunification with family, which may include international travel, accommodation curation and assistance with legal documentation. In some cases, we can follow up with survivors in the months after reunification.
Entrust
Entrusted to government agencies and their standard processes or another local organization offering appropriate services. Follow-up in these circumstances is limited as organizations and governments work to protect children and their privacy.
On the night of the rescue, they told me they could get me out of the brothel that night. I was scared but we left and didn’t look back. I thought, “How nice it would be to not be raped every night. How good it would feel for people to look at me and not think ‘prostitute.’” I wanted to change my life for the better.”

Donate with confidence
Over the last three years, 82% of every dollar we spent was used for programs that benefit the children we defend.
Destiny Rescue is recognized by Guidestar, Charity Navigator, the Better Business Bureau and Excellence in Giving for our commitment to transparency, accountability and financial integrity.
We are grateful for your generosity and promise to use your donation in the most effective way possible. All donations designated for specific funds will be applied to those projects and to administering the gifts. At least 80 percent of your designated gift will go to programs that defend kids. Gifts that cannot be used for a particular project, due to over or under-funding, will be directed to Destiny Rescue’s most urgent needs. Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Destiny Rescue has control over the use of all donated funds.
I know that I might never meet these children, but I also know that God will bridge that gap… And whatever He calls on me to do or to contribute to help rescue these children, it’s worth it. Every single time. It’s worth it.“
